Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians are often victims of racial and social discrimination without equal access to education, employment, housing and other services. Our projects target specifically those challenges.
Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities shall have a sound basic education and thereof have more opportunity to contribute to the economic development of their country and the possibility to be involved in the decisions taken in their community and in society as a whole.
Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian families shall have better living conditions and living standards, which shall be ensured by securing access to water and sanitation and access to functional bathroom with hot and running water through a dweller driven house up-grading model of approach.
Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities shall be more competitive in the labor market through vocational and professional capacity building and support and be equally treated in employment in private and public institutions/companies in Kosovo.
Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities are most marginalized Kosovo’s communities. One decade after the armed conflict, they still face with extremely high unemployment, poverty, lack of basic infrastructure and housing, exclusion and discrimination.
