📍 Workshop on building the capacities of mediators: two days of learning, motivation and mobilization!
During this week, a two-day workshop was held to professionally empower field mediators working with Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities. Organized by the NGO “Voice of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians”, this workshop brought together experience, commitment and new ideas to build bridges of communication between communities and institutions.
🎯 What was covered during these two days?
▪️ The basics of mediation and the key role of mediators as a connecting bridge between citizens and services.
▪️ Skills for building trust and cooperation with local representatives.
▪️ Use of technology for mobilization and reporting in the community.
▪️ Understanding the socio-cultural reality of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities.
▪️ Stress management and personal motivation in a job that is often done in the shadows, but with great impact.
▪️ Practical knowledge of administrative and financial procedures for field work.
🧭 The workshop leader was Mr. Senad Ibishi, who with his experience brought not only important information, but also essential reflections on the role played by mediators as actors of change in the community.
🔚 The workshop closed with joint reflection and planning of concrete steps for action in the field, emphasizing the importance of cooperation, sustainability and self-care in this challenging, but very significant work.
